The Oregon Coast Aquarium is recharging the NOAA MDMAP site within CoastWatch Mile 214. This was the first visit of OCAq staff to the site to conduct an intial survey of the MDMAP site. We did not survey the whole of Mile 214 on this visit.

Number of people: 70. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 50. Sitting: 4. Photography: 2. Other Activities: Horseback rider on the dunes. Workers and security related to the stranded fishing vessel.. A local fishing vessel was stranded on the beach about 200-300 m south of the jetty, so there was significant vehicle activity working on its removal including several trucks, ATVs, and other construction vehicles moving between the parking area and the ship.
