Spotted beached molting Elephant seal on South Beach just south of the jetty. Reported to Jim Rice (Oregon State University Stranding Program Manager) who identified the seal type from my photos.
Conditions
Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 2.0 feet.

I walked on the SB state park beach from the disabled access platform area to the south jetty. This beach is not my coast watch mile. I entered 4 pm where time of arrival (but not departure) not because that's when i arrived on the beach, I doubt if it was.
