Morning after severe king tides along South Beach, OR.
Morning after severe king tides along South Beach, OR. The sand dunes west of the SouthShore community has been eroded up to the beach grass. The sand used to provide a gentle slope from top of dunes to sea level, perhaps about 10 degrees. The drop off is now a nearly 12 feet tall cliff as seen in the photos.
Temperature: 46 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: S. Tide Level: 7.0 feet.

A pleasant day on the beach at very low tide which exposed one large tidal pool which hadn't seen before.
We usually access the beach via an entry at Surfland which hasn't been easy in the past.
