Mile 187 - Neptune SP, Bob Creek, Gwynn Knoll - June 24, 2023

Beautiful sunny day for my first trip to Bob beach while visiting in the area. Incredible tidepools with numerous Ochre sea stars (850 plus) counted in 1 hour walking south from parking area. Many spawning, and a few with possible disease? Photos put on I-Naturalist. Few people collecting rocks and agates, 2 young boys catching crabs in a bucket, and just 3 small pieces of litter. Only 14 people and 6 cars when I first arrived at 10 am, 41 people and a full parking lot when I left at 12. People park along the driveway, and on the east side of 101 when lot is full.
