Mile 186 - Tenmile Cr, Searose Beach N of Stonefield Beach Wayside - February 3, 2012

Report Details

Walking mile 186 today we saw not one other person on the beach. The most notable changes were three significant landslides from the bluff. Each of them spilled soil, rocks and vegetation down onto the cobblestones of the beach. The drift line contains many, many tiny pieces of plastic. There were also unusual amounts of small splinters of tree bark, wood, and small branches.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Wood pieces. Many small pieces of tree bark. Many tiny pieces of plastic. See photo
