It was a quiet morning at mile 181.

It was a quiet morning at mile 181. I didn't find any litter or plastic. The waves were small. The beach had dunes which had trapped small ponds of water. Weeks of windy days has caused this. Usually it's very flat on the sand. There was a hint of smoke on the western horrizon, otherwise it was clear.

The sky was a smoky haze today, but look at the wind sculptures!

I saw lots of tiny pieces of jellyfish broken up by wave action. Steam was coming from the sand. Sand level was higher than on my last visit.

Snowy Plovers in higher numbers than usual. Fewer people than usual.

Lots of rain in the last 4 days has caused erosion of the vegetated dune on the path and steps down to the beach.

Recent king tides have deposited logs and the waves reached the eastern limit of the beach.
