The beach was extremely clean.

The beach was extremely clean. No trash or plastic bottles as in recent visits. Large deposits of broken shells. Very little wildlife, which is unusual for Mile 160.
Conditions
Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 1. Walking or running: 1. State Parks truck near estuary. Met seven people on trail as we hiked back to the parking area.

Notable Wildlife
Osprey fishing. No seals or plovers. Unusually little wildlife.

Road was recently plowed onto beach.

Very windy day and only saw one person on the beach.

It was a beautiful cold windy day.

My mile was actually inaccessible the ponds on either side of the path had grown together and blocked the path at least a hundred yards before the normal little ford I always have to cross It will be a while before that goes down.

My biggest surprise was the lack of trash, I nearly always bring three or four bags of trash off the beach, but not today.

With the effort of many volunteers we collected four heaping pickup loads of trash, including a hot water heater from a five mile stretch
