Report Details

It was a beautiful cold windy day. A few clouds overhead. More cars in the lot were for ATV activity because at first we were the only two on the beach. The waves were huge and in rapid succession and it was at the near the end of low tide so lots of beach. I love this mile because I love walking to the siltcoos river and checking out the lagoon or lake or pond. The lake was huge this time, I'd never seen so much water there but this is my first time reporting on this mile. I've always loved this section of the beach near Florence. I would have explored more but our dog did something to her foot. Had to head back. Very little debris on the beach or in the dune grasses. Buts lots of oyster shells tucked in the dunes south of the lake.

My mile was actually inaccessible the ponds on either side of the path had grown together and blocked the path at least a hundred yards before the normal little ford I always have to cross It will be a while before that goes down.
