Snowy plover fencing intact and no one violating that rule. Dogs not allowed on beach but dogs did not go into the fenced in area.Beautiful day at the beach. Large white clam shells and many crab shells.

Number of people: 12. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 12. People were mostly walking on the beach. Most didn’t stay long. Windy and cool.

Apparent violations: Specifically stated no dogs on beach.

Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). No litter that I saw.

Actions & Comments

The beach looks untouched. Such a beautiful stretch of beach. Mile walk to the beach thru the sand from wax myrtle beach. A gorgeous view of the mouth of siltcoos river which is forever changing.

My mile was actually inaccessible the ponds on either side of the path had grown together and blocked the path at least a hundred yards before the normal little ford I always have to cross It will be a while before that goes down.

My biggest surprise was the lack of trash, I nearly always bring three or four bags of trash off the beach, but not today.
