Noted a few natural topographic changes to mile 99 since last month, with moving sand dunes and rerouting creeks. Otherwise no concerns with the people, dogs, or wildlife.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.

Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 7. 6 dead gulls, all decomposing; 1 adult common murre struggling in tide line, then observed dead 15 minutes later
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces. Lots of crab shells from molting
Natural Changes
Johnson Creek has rerouted since last month, and is now entering the ocean 1/4 mile farther south. Creek at Devil's Kitchen eroded north bank, now has a 3 foot drop to water level since last month.

Although there has been over 9 inches of rain since October 1, both creeks (Johnson and Crooked) on mile 99 are at lower than expected levels of max depth of approx 5 inches at usual crossing spots.
