Actions & Comments

The beach had been reworked with coarse sand (photo 3) and large, random, rounded boulders to 2 feet exposed. Seven old crab pots were on the beach. Wave overtopping was noted from Mile 61.45 north in the lower or formerly dozed areas (photos 1, 2, 4). The beach was clean with normal amounts of ocean-based debris (e.g., 16 bottles, 1 tire, 3 buoys, etc.). Wildlife activity was down slightly. However, a Bald Eagle was spotted on New River.
