Dave Lacey and Pete Stauffer completed this mile, and said there was hardly any trash on the walk. There was nothing to note of special importance, but both suggested updating the CoastWatch forms, and I agree as well.Another suggestion for our mile was to begin GPS marking the erosion spots and photo points for better observations and connectivity to future data collection.

Temperature: 62 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Strong. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 6.2 feet.
Human Activities
No activities, except the construction going on on the highway above the CoastWatch mile.

Total dead birds: 1. Sandpiper?
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
2 dead chiton, 3 dead crabs
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. 3 tires, part of a wooden dock

It is AMAZING the amount of sand that has been removed (naturally) by scouring.
