Report Details

It is AMAZING the amount of sand that has been removed (naturally) by scouring. Take a look at our photos. The rock that Janet cannot reach the top of used to be almost completely covered up top with only 1 foot or so exposed. The scouring has been taking place for about the past 6 months. We have heard that about 10 miles or so up the beach to the north, they are being inundated with sand washing in. Is the sand from this beach moving north? We have not submitted a report in the past several months, but we continue to watch at least once a month as we also do our NOAA Marine Debris Monitoring Surveys.
