A pleasant but relatively unremarkable walk.
Report Details
A pleasant but relatively unremarkable walk. the strand was variable in composition but fairly thin, with a smattering of refuse. Mostly plastic bottles, as usual, and some patches of confetti-sized particles. Logs and wood were moderately distributed. There were 15-20 clumps of kelp ranging from single stipes to large aggregations. Few birds were about, except one grebe who may have been injured. Most unique object was an intact piddock shell (Zirfaea pilsbryi) which I usually find in fragments.
