We went out to do a beach clean up with the intention of walking our full mile. There was so much garbage and firework debris that in 3 hours we bareley made it .25 of the mile.For the portion that we did we counted 63 people and 2 dogs.32 walking/running18 playing in sand11 sitting2 kite flyingIn parking access area: 14 cars/trucksOn beach within allowed areas: 61 cars/trucksObserved gulls and crowsDriftline content: kelp, algae, animal casings, land-based debris (picnics, etc)

On the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2022 at an outgoing 5ft tide, three people surveyed Mile 330 for an hour.

There were many birds, living and dead (9), seen on the mile of beach.

Had a dozen plus individuals (Lewis and Clark National Historic Park youth engagement along with Oregon State Parks) over a 5 hour period picking up post fourth of July trash.
