It was a fairly typical day at Oswald.

It was a fairly typical day at Oswald. Overcast, people surfing, and people with their dogs. The afternoon was busy with tourists, but as it got later in the day, there were mostly surfers left at the beach. The only things of interest to note was a large of amount of pine needles in the drift zone and one person brought their pet hedgehog with them to the beach!

There were two interesting things at Short Sand today. The second interesting thing were small bits of torn foam, like from a seat cushion, on the north end of the beach at the highest wrack line.

While kayaking out to Falcon Rock observed two marbled murrelets and two porpoises.

Pleasant cloudy morning on the beach at low tide, saw good number of sea stars.

This morning CoastWatch hosted an educational walk with Stewart Schultz - 18 people were a part of the walk, but others joined as the session went on (for about 3 hours).
