First time we didn't see any beached birds. ~20 NKN Middle School students participated in the monitoring/clean up - only 1 SOLV-size bag of debris (mostly plastic bottles) collected, some with oriental writing. Most students participated in the nature hike + estuary science activities following the monitoring.

From the entrance to the beach from the state park, walking north, I saw about 40 people, eight dogs, three horses, lots of washed up upside-down crabs, and several small beached jellyfish.
