Heavy (73) human use. First time we didn't see any beached birds. ~20 NKN Middle School students participated in the monitoring/clean up - only 1 SOLV-size bag of debris (mostly plastic bottles) collected, some with oriental writing. Most students participated in the nature hike + estuary science activities following the monitoring.

Students were interested seeing a cattail stalk that was found along the driftline. It was very windy and rainy with just one person observed walking in the distance towards the southern end of the mile.

From the entrance to the beach from the state park, walking north, I saw about 40 people, eight dogs, three horses, lots of washed up upside-down crabs, and several small beached jellyfish.
