Done with NKN 6th Grade Middle School (covered the beach from the base of the dune to the shore).

Done with NKN 6th Grade Middle School (covered the beach from the base of the dune to the shore). Thorough cleanup using 55 kids. Only 2 SOLV bags collected. Found a long message in a bottle. Also cut Scotch Broom for NBSP.

There were many people enjoying their time on the beach, which is understandable because Nehalem Bay State Park is right behind mile 298.

It was very windy and rainy with just one person observed walking in the distance towards the southern end of the mile.

From the entrance to the beach from the state park, walking north, I saw about 40 people, eight dogs, three horses, lots of washed up upside-down crabs, and several small beached jellyfish.
