A peaceful morning at the beach.
Report Details
A peaceful morning at the beach. Campground full and more people arriving during our visit. Not much on the beach other than natural debris. A large chunk of the bluff south of the day use area has fallen since last visit. Saw a couple of logs that might have been tsunami debris but no way to tell.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 6.0 feet.

Number of people: 125. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 70. Playing in surf: 15. Playing in sand: 10. Sitting: 20. Surfing: 2. Fishing: 1. Other Activities: picnicking. Everyone in sight using beach appropriately

Saw seagulls and other seabirds flying off shore. Only one seagull on the beach.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Shells, Small rocks, Styrofoam, Wood pieces. More kelp/grass than the last couple of times

After days of rain the sun finally made an appearance, making for a pleasant afternoon on the beach.

It was a beautiful, sunny day although somewhat brisk. Some photos of recent erosion are attached.

The recent storms and high tides have deposited a lot of debris on the beach - especially small plastic fragments.

It was a windy and cloudy day and hence the beach was fairly deserted.
