Mile 270 Report
July 22, 2020
This is a very beautiful mile of coast.
This is a very beautiful mile of coast. I was able to walk the whole mile along the shore at low tide. There are enormous boulders all over the shore and major cracks in the cliffs. Some small sea caves were on the western portion of the mile and I noted some very interesting rocks and minerals present. Lots of sea birds here and on the eastern portion of the mile there is a smell present in the air and I did see numerous dead starfish scattered around the sand and in the tide pools.
Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: -1.2 feet.
A man came out of the ocean in full scuba gear and said he was spearfishing! Wild. He said the water was very cloudy and he could not see anything.
Apparent violations: /A.

All Mile 270 Reports
It's been quite a while since I visited here, and it felt like visiting an old friend.
I am combining three mile segments North, Tip, and South since I typically paddle the whole thing and no other reports are being filed currently.
