Report Details

Not much changes here, being solid rock cliffs. I didn't notice anything new other than the number of sea stars, which were very high. Also, the ladder near prime common murre nesting that has now been there for at least 3 years.

Conditions

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 4.0 feet.

Notable Wildlife

Murres, one seal, cormorants, gulls, sea stars, pigeon guillemots

Man-made Modifications

Illegal ladder just off the southern end of the cape near a ledge that was used by common murres. On past paddles, I have noticed that the murres now avoid this ledge. In the past it was packed with these birds.
