Increased erosion of ramp, and repairs to this access. Increased erosion of drain pipe area and natural changes to sand bar creating a water way about 100 yards long.

Conditions

Temperature: 58 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.

Concerns

Apparent violations: Driving on beach from Turnaround to cape. This area is closed to cars. Ramp to beach gate is locked. Vehicle tracks at top of ramp show they drove around the locked gate..

Report Images

Tracks at the locked gate at the parking area show a vehicle drove around the gate, accessed the beach and continued south. This area is closed to vehicles.
Recent wave erosion has removed sand at the bottom of the ramp. Repairs seem to be function-able for now.
Wave action has created a large sand bar and water trench approx 100 yds long. This trench extends north and south of the vehicle ramp
Increased storm run off water has eroded the area under the pipe exposing rock or shoring material. The storm run off collects behind the sand bar adding to the amount of water in this sandbar trench.
