Salp stranding has continued for about 2 weeks.
Salp stranding has continued for about 2 weeks. Hard to get a picture of the tiny critters but they are evident up and down Roads End beach. Slightly pink and can stick to your feet. Upwelling also evident. About a dozen dead birds and old kelp/seaweed from last weekend's storm.9/7 - Salps are gone.

After king tides and heavy surf, most of the usual driftwood was up nearer the bank along with minimal bull kelp.
