Only a dozen "new" dead birds. However, this beach did see a large die-off of the blue-footed Cassin's auklets in December when at least 100 were found, another 50 probably buried in the sand. I still see remnants of that die-off but the situation has seemed to improve.

Total stranded mammals: 1. 1 very decomposed sea lion(?) carcass just north of 73rd Street beach access

Wrackline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings or molts, Marine debris, Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. Lots of small feathers and hard plastic bits in wrack line
