Report Details
Dead beached whale on Mile 238, either a new one or the recently buried one has been unearthed. Horrible smell extends up and down the beach.
Conditions
Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.
Human Activities
A couple of weeks ago, authorities buried the dead beached whale using a large bulldozer. It was buried deep and near the waterline. Today, i noticed that either it has been unearthed or there is another dead beached whale. It is in approximately the same location on Mile 238 on the Salishan spit. A couple hundred yards north on the beach is a large section of what looks like a pelvic region of a large mammal. Pictures attached. The odor is horrendous on the beach and over on Salishan Drive, from beach access 51B to 51A.
