Either rainy day or Corona virus scare is keeping people off the beach. Still necessary to be completely vigilant when on the beach. No whale sightings here during this whalewatching week. Just 1 seal swimming in the ocean.
Conditions
Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 0.6 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 2. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 2. Only saw 2 people on the beach with a dog. Very drizzly, dismal day.
Notable Wildlife
1 seal swimming in ocean very close to shoreline.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces.
New Development
The steps that lead down to the beach at milepost 50B are mostly covered with sand now. Easy access. Other accesses are still not usable (like 50A).
Actions & Comments
Though tide was low, there are still sneaker waves to avoid. Smooth beach indicated tide is coming all the way in during the night (in some areas).

Beach was completely deserted today. The only usable accesses are at 50B and in between properties 281 and 283.

Beach accesses are currently closed along Salishan Drive, except at the end of the road at access #50, and an unmarked access at lot #349.

Very little beach to walk on at this time of year at high tide.
