Report Details
Caution is advised on the beach on Mile 238 due to high winter tides/sneaker waves, ongoing significant riprap projects, and constant heavy equipment movement.
Conditions
Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Rain. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.
Actions & Comments
There is much activity on the southern portion of Mile 238. Riprap projects near Beach Grass Lane access and north are changing the landscape significantly. Even at low tide, continuing north on the beach is impossible at some points. Boulders have been placed on the beach so waves continually splash up to them throughout the day. Between high winter tides, piles of boulders and heavy equipment traveling up and down the beach, activities on the beach are severely limited now, and caution is advised.
