Dead humpback whale is on the beach on Mile 238. It has been there about a week.

Temperature: 65 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.

Dead whale has washed up on the beach on Mile 238, near the water, in front of property #295. Apparently it is a humpback, and theory is it was dead before it washed up. It has been there about a week. Authorities have been informed but not sure what action will be taken.

Beach accesses are still primarily closed (No Trespassing signs) but a couple are usable (50B, 50, etc). Riprap project seems ongoing in some areas, but completed in others.

Beach was completely deserted today. The only usable accesses are at 50B and in between properties 281 and 283.
