No notable changes to the beach or cliffs since my last report.
Report Details
No notable changes to the beach or cliffs since my last report. Minimal trash and no large pieces of debris although Parks staff had been there on an ATV a couple days earlier so they would have picked up any larger pieces. The beach was flat and sandy with only a minimal amount of the underlying rocks exposed. Large group of gulls, including many juveniles, as I headed south. On the return trip, the gulls were gone and another group of birds were on driftline. Surprised that there were only 2 other people on the beach on such a beautiful day. There were half a dozen or so people walking & playing around on the beach just north of Moolack Creek on mile 222.

Total dead birds: 1. Unknown species, advanced decay.
Wrackline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings or molts, Wood pieces, Marine debris, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). Dozen or so 3" to 6" diameter moon jellies. Minimal debris including parts of plastic bottles and caps, food wrappers and small pieces of marine rope.

- Visible new rock slide erosion along half of the mile - Young off-leash dog who harassed my dog and would not relent until the nonplussed owner slowly walked over the 70 yards minutes later; the dog was let off leash again to run all around, out of voice command, chasing shorebirds.

Gorgeous, quiet winter afternoon alongside dozens of sea pickles, a moderate rockslide at south end, disconcerting complete absence of birds, and sadly typical two armfuls of marine debris.
