This morning at 9:30, there was not yet any wind, and the tide was out.
Report Details
This morning at 9:30, there was not yet any wind, and the tide was out. The surface of the sand was more undulating than on my last visit--not as flat. The beach was noticeably dryer than it was last month at this time. There were several places where remains of small fires were noticeable on the beach. There was nothing remarkable about the drift line except, of course, for the amount of plastic, mostly in the form of small chips or pieces.
Conditions
Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: E. Tide Level: -1.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 23. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 13. Playing in surf: 2. Playing in sand: 6. Photography: 2. I saw one child pushing sand down a sandy bluff. As usual, there are eroded spots in the bluffs where people walk or slide down to the beach.
