Newport, Nye Beach north, Agate Beach south

It was a beautiful day, although the wind was brisk and most of the people on the beach were walking rather than sitting as some would if it were more still.
Report Details
It was a beautiful day, although the wind was brisk and most of the people on the beach were walking rather than sitting as some would if it were more still. There were more people and dogs than there were when I reported last time, a little over a month ago. The dead fish were a surprise; one was maybe four feet long. There were few birds on the beach, and I saw only gulls and crows on my stretch of beach. The drft line was very sparse.Note: This report covers a little more than a mile. It runs from Agate Beach Wayside to Nye Beach Turnaround.
Human Activities
Number of people: 79. Number of dogs: 8. Walking or running: 75. Sitting: 2. Other Activities: playing with dogs 2. There were nine cars at Agate Beach and 12 at Nye Beach.
Vehicles
Notable Wildlife
There were only a few gulls (20 altogether) and two crows today.
Beached Birds
There were only some feathers that appeared to be the very last remains of two dead birds.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
There were two dead fish that had washed in. They resembled barracuda, but my expert has convinced me they were lancetfish. Also there were quite a few dead mole crabs.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. drift lumber, plastic pieces, cigarette butts, loose feathers
Natural Changes
Sand was blowing off the sandy bluff areas in the brisk wind
Actions & Comments
I think the new roof on the building that I mentioned was all on existing construction, which would mean there was no new development. I saw small rocks falling off the Jumpoff Joe rocks and noticed some little bit of erosion on the bluffs there, as well as in other places were the bluffs had exposed dunes.
