Report Details

The extremely dry weather is affecting the sandstone at the base of the cliff.  I observed places where sand changes to the land bluff, the sand stone and rocks are cracking because of the heat and lack of moisture. This will be causing more erosion of the bank when the tides are higher in the winter. And chunks of the sand bluff are breaking away and causing the sand to spill down.

Conditions

Temperature: 75 F.
