There is still a lot of drift wood scattered on rocky and river sandy area's.

There is still a lot of drift wood scattered on rocky and river sandy area's. Many have burn marks left from July 4th fires. The marine life observed appeared in good health.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.

Number of people: 60. Number of dogs: 6. Walking or running: 25. Playing in sand: 10. Sitting: 7. Photography: 5. Tidepooling: 4. Fishing: 6. Lots of people observing ocean from cars and viewing flatform.
Concerns
Climbing bluffs/seastacks, Litter
Apparent violations: Broken glass from beer bottles, Name carving in sandy bluff.Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs

Notable Wildlife
Hundreds of seagulls. Dozens of crows. A couple of malards. Other small birds.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
As usual hundreds of mussel shells all over rocky and sandy areas.
Driftline Content
Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. Noticed lots of shells. Small wood pieces. Foam at the end of waves.
Natural Changes
Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Visible retreat of solid bluff.
Actions & Comments
Many of the upper tidepools drying out with dead grass at edges, many have clouded water, did not notice any life in these. Lower tidepools appear as usual with Green Anenomes open and healthy. Saw lots of small new mussels and lots of healthy large. People again carving their names and other in the sensitive sand bluffs just north of the Yachats state park. this is also damaging grasses due to climbing to them.
