Mile 193 - Yachats Ocean Road Wayside, Yachats SP - April 23, 2018

It was a beautiful sunny day. Very little wind. I did not notice any significant changes in extent of erosion along the road north and south of the river. Most appears to be occurring along Ocean View drive north of the Yachats River. I had some concerns about the safety of the ground at the Lions Club bench near 3rd street and Ocean View Drive.

Natural Changes

On Ocean View Drive, north of river, where the Lions Club bench is, I was concerned about the undercutting of the cliff there, and wonder if some type of warning should be placed. I am concerned that if someone steps close to the edge, the overhang will break off. I have a photo of this area but was scared to get close enough to investigate further.
