Mile 174 - Baker Beach west of Alder Dunes CG, north of Sutton Creek - May 11, 2014

Footprints leading quite a ways into the snowy plover restricted area. They went right around the sign saying to keep out. Beach Ranger has been contacted.Hugh collection of trash along the high tide line. Have never seen this before on my mile. Could not have taken it all out.

Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Styrofoam. Hugh collection of trash along the high tide line. Have never seen this before on my mile. Could not have taken it all out.

Actions & Comments

A woman on the beach said she saw a large low trawler passing by the day before. Don't know exactly who to report this to....trash came from ocean and looked to be shipboard debris.
