Another nice Saturday afternoon for a stroll on Heceta Beach!
Report Details
Another nice Saturday afternoon for a stroll on Heceta Beach! Lots of visitors out watching the big waves roll in, with the occasional "sneaker wave" chasing tourists (and me) up to higher ground. The wrack line contained lots of greenish-pale beige sea foam (photo), bits of palm kelp, surf grass, and numerous smashed pieces of reddish "Sea Nettle" jelly. Only a few sanderlings were feeding in the outwash today, with the occasional harbor seal feeding further out in the surf.
