Nothing unusual these past months. Our area allows driving on the beach and we have many dog walkers. We have picked up a lot of trash in the last month of which most is plastic.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Shells, Styrofoam, Wood pieces. lots of plastic!!! Mostly bottles.
Man-made Modifications
Dune modification/removal.
Actions & Comments
Tides these past few weeks have appeared "dirty" leaving a rust colored stain on the beach. Relatively quiet for some time.

On the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2022 at an outgoing 5ft tide, three people surveyed Mile 330 for an hour.

There were many birds, living and dead (9), seen on the mile of beach.

Had a dozen plus individuals (Lewis and Clark National Historic Park youth engagement along with Oregon State Parks) over a 5 hour period picking up post fourth of July trash.

Today the NPS crew joined the hybrid beach grass training with Risa Askerooth from Oregon State University.
