Overall the beach looked pretty good for post king tides and fireworks. Uptick in small plastic fragments found in drift line. Less trash than summer found from picnics (it's been a stormy week), but closer to higher concentration areas trash and spent fireworks were found.

Temperature: 46 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 4.5 feet.

Number of people: 53. Number of dogs: 13. Walking or running: 50. Playing in surf: 2. Sitting: 1. Very beautiful day - lots of people on the beach walking all day.

Litter
Apparent violations: More than normal plastic fragments and rope fragments in the drift line. Expected debris from fireworks and new year’s Eve midnight shenanigans..Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Wood pieces, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Styrofoam, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.).
Man-made Modifications
Signs remain up at the new structure on the north side of the wayside. They’re posted on the beach and not on their property.
Natural Changes
Visible retreat of solid bluff. King tides continue to erode unprotected property.
