Not a "scheduled" visit - decided to walk the mile after observing our BLOY nestlings on LH.

Not a "scheduled" visit - decided to walk the mile after observing our BLOY nestlings on LH. China Creek has departed from its previous course, and is heading northerly, paralleling the shoreline for several hundred feet. Kelp/algae in the driftline. Beach clear of debris. Evidence of campfire in driftwood close to parking lot. Three people near Snowy Plover area. Moderate human impact (7)-walking/running. Apparent overnight camping in parking lot.We walked back along the road -- observing very little litter for the first half of the distance between China Creek and Devil's Kitchen -- fairly heavy litter from about the marsh distance, north.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Tide Level: -2.2 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 7. Walking or running: 7. Other Activities: walking quietly, and just arriving in parking lot. Evidence of fire in driftwood close to bank at China Beach parking. 3 young people very near closed Snowy Plover area - outside rope confines, but running and very close. Did not cross back into parking area, but appeared to be continuing south on w. bank of China Creek.
