Notable Wildlife

Great Blue Heron, Red-shouldered Hawk, BLOY pair, 6 Surfbirds . . . and3 sheep (now feral)

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 20. 16 Common Murre (1 due to predation); Great-horned Owl, 1 Cormorant (believed to be Brandt's), 1 immature W. Gull, 1 W. Grebe

Driftline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). concentration of kelps at northern end of mile, and casings (mussels) at south end. Minimal land-based and ocean-based debris !

Actions & Comments

Little apparent change or decline, even with strong storm earlier in quarter.
