There was half a butchered elk rib cage in the parking area when we arrived which, quite oddly, was gone when we got back after the Mile. Another full butchered elk rib cage was alongside the dirt road going to the beach, & it sure smelled like more animal parts were in a different part of the woods alongside the road. But the beach itself was calm & peaceful, with no litter or signs of human disturbance.
