This was a first visit for us, virtually all of the driftline was composed of driftwood.

This was a first visit for us, virtually all of the driftline was composed of driftwood. We concentrated on plastic debris, and collected a couple of sacks that amounted to about foty five or fifty pounds. The photo below is looking North from the North end.

Temperature: 45 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 0.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 4. Number of dogs: 1. Other Activities: Driving - 2. We had the driver of an Oregon Park Dept vehicle drive past us two or three times, and one other pickup truck while within mile 333.

There was a large, brown raptor of some sort at the South end of the mile, sitting on driftwood.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 2. There were two dead birds, one looked like a seagull, the other appeared to have been smaller.

Came across a few patches of what look like Market Squid egg cases, the first we've seen on the Oregon coast.

There was half a butchered elk rib cage in the parking area when we arrived which, quite oddly, was gone when we got back after the Mile.

Mile 333 is a comparatively remote stretch of beach, bordered by Camp Rilea.
