Report Details
On this beautiful morning there were a lot of people around Arch Cape looking at the muscles, barnacles and sea anemones on the rocks. There were no sea stars. Gull Rock had at least 45 pelicans and 4 cormorants. On the north side of Arch Cape I observed the signs of one pigeon guillemot nest. I saw one these birds about one month ago feeding the baby birds. In earlier years I have seen two and three nests on Arch Cape. The sand level was at its usual level for this time of year which allows easy foot travel between Arch Cape and Cove Beach.

The wrack line contained small (2-4") crab casings, clam shells and broken sand dollars. There was a small land slide near a house drain line - see picture. The sand level was low on the north end of mile 307 which leaves the rocks uncovered.
