More sand than I have seen in 30 years, clean beach, small dried up jelly fish all along the drift line.One vey large rock slide South of the Arch, and a smaller one 200 yards further south.A few pelicans, many nesting/hatching murres on the Gull rocks.10-20 pelagic cormorants and a couple of oystercatchers.Gorgeous day, strong Northerly wind (@20mp/h

Notable Wildlife
Lots of murres on the Gull rocks. Also pelagic cormorants, and 6 brown pelicans.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Lots of dried up "sail-by-the-winds" (Velella velella) along the drift line. (photo)
Natural Changes
Landslides/major boulder falls.
Actions & Comments
Immediately South of the Arch Cape a large rockslide has occurred.It seems to be sandstone or harder, no basalt.Measuring about 60 yards in horizontal length, 30 yards deep and @ 20 ft high near the cliff base.A second,smaller rockslide happened about 200 yards further South.(photos)

The wrack line contained small (2-4") crab casings, clam shells and broken sand dollars. There was a small land slide near a house drain line - see picture. The sand level was low on the north end of mile 307 which leaves the rocks uncovered.

Other than the wheel and tire, the beach was very clean.
