Report Details
Very nice day out there and a few people were all enjoing the surf. The large number of pelicans has been very cool to watch. The large number of crab shells washing up has been a bit strange as well. Smell from the whale that washed up seems to have lessened, and it is now half burried in the sand.

Probably 100 or so pelicans on Cove Beach. Most were standing on the sand, and a few were out fishing in the ocean. Lots of seaguls as well, and on osprey.

The wrack line contained small (2-4") crab casings, clam shells and broken sand dollars. There was a small land slide near a house drain line - see picture. The sand level was low on the north end of mile 307 which leaves the rocks uncovered.
