Stormy morning on the coast.

Stormy morning on the coast. No signs of tsunami debris. Found one interesting post, but it didn't look as if it had been at sea very long and was held together by modern-looking nails.

Notable Wildlife
A pair of bald eagles has been hovering over the beach for the past two days. One actually decended and followed the surfline for a few minutes. Didn't see them catch anything.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. Driftline was pretty clean, likely due to the SOLV activity last week.

A beautiful August afternoon. Neahkahnie Creek and the drainage at the south end were lightly flowing with small streams.

I went out to walk the mile due to the reports of oiled birds and tarballs washing up in Cannon Beach.

A sunny Saturday morning in Manzanita! The upside down tree that is at 45. The strangest thing I found were the two adult common murres - one with a string tied to its wing.
