Report Details

Very minimal activity noted today, likely as a result of the high tide and it being a Monday. We noticed a very high concentration of washed up moon jellies, unlike what we have seen in the past.

Conditions

Temperature: 39 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 7.0 feet.

Activities

Number of people: 3. Walking or running: 3.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates

Unusual concentration. We noticed a large concentration of washed up jellies. These are not the typical vellela vellela jellies that we expect to see. This was a tremendous amount of what might have been moon jellies of all sizes in a very high concentration.

Wrackline Content

Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Wood pieces.

It was a gorgeous sunny but quite cold afternoon, with a brisk wind from the northeast blowing sand toward the surf across a wide low-tide beach.
