Mile 290 - Barview Jetty County Park, Camp Magruder south - December 5, 2018

Report Details

There has not been alot of change since my last report. We have had only one major rain/wind event this fall. This being so, there has been very little debris deposited on the beaches. I have taken a few photos just for comparison sake. The steep "bluff" has been filled in with the drifting sands at the Southern end of my mile.

Temperature: 48 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SE. Tide Level: 8.1 feet.

Activities

Number of people: 8. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 4. Sitting: 2. Fishing: 2.

Other Activities: I did not see the vehicle just the remains of the tracks..

Barview Jetty County Park, Camp Magruder south

It was great to walk my mile with Rachel and Denise with Ocean Shores. We were unable to remove a large pile of debris, including two large styrofoam blocks, and reported the issue to Nehalem Bay State Parks ranger. There were newly exposed tree roots and fallen trees along the Camp McGruder frontage, see photos.
