Temperature: 70 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.

Number of people: 10. Number of dogs: 6. Walking or running: 5. Sitting: 3. Fishing: 3. There were fishermen this time, but they all stayed off the offshore rocks, which isn't always the case. The tides were pretty high this trip and parts of the northern edge of the beach were blocked off because of it, but people were (at times) attempting to traverse rocking outgrowths to get to the other side. I think everyone gave up on the idea, after realizing how tricky the paths were and how high the surf was coming in, but it really wouldn't have been safe for anyone who made it over there. The tide was low at this point and it was going to fill that plain by the time it came in, leaving them trapped or worse.Also, there quite a few SHELTERS built out of driftwood. Most were obviously very temporary, but one was really strong and hidden and was completed with a tarp and a (well concealed) path built out of hand carved logs. Next to it was a well extinguished and cleaned fire area and a LOT of beer bottles. It seems likely that whoever built this has used it more than once/one night.

Litter

Apparent violations: There was lots of litter back near the bluff wall (I carried out what I could) along with rigged drift wood structures. Also people were climbing over rocks to access areas that were closed off due to the high tides.

Cars/trucks parking: 1.

There were lots of seagulls and pipers offshore. The washed-up seaweed was a very grassy variety. The tides were too high to see any of the normal invertebrates.
