New Development

There was quite a lot of erosion of the cliffs and sand dunes near THE CAPES gated community.

Man-made Modifications

Beachgrass planting or removal. I have walked this stretch of beach many, many times over the years starting in 2004, but not in the past three years. There has been quite a lot of new plantings of beachgrass since I was last here and those plantings have suffered from erosion of our recent King Tides.

Natural Changes

Landslides/major boulder falls, Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Erosion of vegetated foredune. These are not huge landslides, but there is definite signs of continuing erosion of the bluffs in front of THE CAPES community.
